Seeing a lack of resources, access, and support for the most vulnerable people of our community, the leadership of Faith Deliverance Temple, inc. established Catalyst Community Development Center (Catalyst CDC) in 2010 as a vehicle for collaboration among local churches, schools, and community organizations looking for a meaningful way to positively impact and serve our community. The organization was created to improve the well-being and self-sufficiency of neighbors in need through our youth arts and educational programs with wraparound support such as our food pantry, winter coat/ school supply giveaways, and annual toy drive. Catalyst CDC most recently launched our housing project for families in need of affordable housing solutions. The Catalyst CDC has become a community staple and the Catalyst for change in the community - to empower those who need it most and to create a brighter, more equitable future for all.

Volunteer Opportunities
Catalyst CDC works closely with volunteers as instructors for the day to host educational workshops for students depending on an individual’s expertise, volunteers can build/host a workshop relevant to the student’s professional development. Topics include areas such as financial literacy and career readiness.

Catalyst CDC relies on dedicated volunteers to provide students with a well-rounded program experience. While volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year, we host a variety of one-time and ongoing engagements. All activities are designed to provide the highest possible benefit to our students and volunteers. We are happy to work with your company to find volunteer opportunities that best fit your needs.

- We have distributed over 1,800,000 pounds of food through our homeless street outreach and hungry families with Food Pantry since the onset of the pandemic (March 2020-March 2023).
- Created the Catalyst Community Drumline for youth who are not enrolled in the music program at school that can learn music fundamentals.
- Help raise the reading a

- Help raise the reading and math levels of all participants of the afterschool tutoring.
- Distributed 200+ backpacks filled with school supplies for the 2022-23 school year.
- Distributed 5,000+ toys for families with children during the Holiday season.
- Prepared 250+ teacher appreciation packages for local elementary and middle school teachers.
- Awarded over $2,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors class of 2022.
- Host community movie nights with an inflatable movie screen on Green
